Project description

The Subaru Aftersales Portal (short: ASP) is the "Swiss Army Knife" for Subaru Germany and its dealers and service partners for the digitalization of aftersales processes. The original idea and advanced implementation of a platform for the display of accessory items and information, combined with a foolproof ordering process, inspired Subaru Germany to create a variety of other convenient features to make life easier for Subaru partners, create loyalty and reduce system landscapes.

An agile project development in close cooperation with Subaru Germany and the Subaru partners always resulted in user-friendly and quickly provided tools in the everyday life of the users.

Solution: Digitization of aftersales business processes in a central platform for Subaru dealers, including:

  • B2B store with interfaces to the Subaru merchandise management system and intelligent shopping cart

Spare parts shopping made easy!

Ordering original spare parts from Subaru was complicated and time-consuming for dealers because three outdated systems had to be used in parallel. We solved this problem by combining parts search (EPC), document management and ordering system into one platform.

Subaru dealers receive a shopping cart in the ASP, into which they can place any desired item with just one click. Ordering is just as fast, leaving the dealership more time to focus on its core business: serving the end customer.

ASP communicates in real time with Subaru Germany's merchandise management system. The Subaru partners thus receive information about prices, discounts, stock levels and delivery times.

Smart shopping cart

Who is supposed to keep track of the many discount promotions with different conditions and quantity scales? Subaru dealers can now sit back and relax. The ASP knows all the conditions and always guarantees the best price for the respective shopping cart with an intelligent algorithm.

In addition, the ASP provides pre-purchase notices and further purchase incentives for incompletely met rebate conditions. Good for the dealer and good for Subaru.

Everything revolves around the vehicle

We have all Subaru vehicles registered in Europe in our database. The input of the VIN is sufficient and one has vehicle characteristics, customer data, info brochures, recalls and discount promotions at a glance. Above all, one has so set the vehicle filter for the product search, so that only parts are found that fit exactly in the selected vehicle.

The dealer can find the vehicle even faster by entering only the license plate number or the customer's name. The right vehicle is found via an interface to the dealer management system (DMS). This minimizes changes between different systems at the workplace and thus saves further time.

Always the right spare part

The most intuitive and safest way to find original spare parts suitable for the vehicle in question is to make a graphic selection from exploded views.

We have integrated these from the electronic parts catalog (EPC) into ASP, making it the most reliable source for vehicle fitment. From here, the items are immediately added to the shopping cart and can be ordered immediately.

Quotation and maintenance calculation

With the Aftersales Portal, partners can create uniform Subaru-branded end-customer offers. In doing so, they benefit from the highly interconnected nature of our data. An offer is completely calculated, among other things with these functions:

  • Lightning fast import of article positions
  • Access to operation numbers for activities with indicative times
  • Selection of consumables with quantities suitable for the respective vehicle
  • Import of complete maintenance plans for the creation of inspection quotations
  • Transfer of customer data from the DMS
